The purpose of this blog is to share my independent thoughts related to Mormonism. I take full responsibility for the contents. This is an anonymous blog because I share personal anecdotes in the posts, and I don’t want to harm the lives of the people I talk about. My identity is not a particularly well-guarded secret, so if you were to do some sleuthing based on the information that I share, you might be able to figure out who I am. I am fairly active in the ex-Mormon social media world, but I am not “famous” in those circles. If you do find out who I am, please be kind enough not to share my identity without permission.
I am an ex-Mormon with pioneer ancestry. I was born in Provo, Utah while my parents were attending Brigham Young University, and I grew up in Texas. I served a mission in South America in the late 1990s and attended BYU after my mission. I met my first wife at BYU and we were married in the temple during our senior year. I became disaffected with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in 2006 while I was pursuing my post-graduate education. I formally resigned my membership in 2008, and a divorce followed soon after. I have since remarried.
I hope you enjoy the blog. Please feel free to reach out to me on Facebook, Twitter, or by email. If you are interested in becoming a partner blogger on this site, I would be happy to consider.
